Traore recently joined Les Gones for a reported £8.8 million from Chelsea and has taken over the number 10 jersey previously worn by Lacazette, who earned a big-money move to Arsenal after scoring 129 goals in 275 games for his hometown club.
With OL supporters buzzing on social media about the Burkina Faso international's potential after starring on loan at Ajax last season, Traore has tempered their expectations.
"I am ready to give everything when I am on the ground," the 21-year-old attacker told reporters. "I do not replace Alex Lacazette. He's not the same profile. We know what he did for OL.
"He is a great striker and I envy him a lot. I am fortunate today to have the number 10. It is a pleasure and an honour.
"I hope I meet expectations. I will fight, try to give everything to bring to the team."
