Palestinians family has been split apart by the Israeli occupation

A report says, Loay Tailakh calls his family in the besieged Gaza Strip every day, but he avoids video chats, which can leave him depressed and immobile for days.

His father told Reporters that, "he feel like a failure as a father".

However, his wife and three children live just a two-hour drive from his home in Ramallah, he has not seen them for two years.

Tailakh said; "I knew I would face some difficulties bringing my family to the West Bank, but I never thought I would be in a situation where I might never see them again".

Meanwhile, over 10-years-ago, Tailakh, who received a PhD in Agriculture from Bulgaria, moved to Gaza from the West Bank to work for the agriculture ministry. He married his wife, Shireen, in 2004, and they had three children: 13-year-old Karim, nine-year-old Yusuf and seven-year-old Salem.

Tailakh added: "I am worried about the long-term psychological effects this will have on my children if we are not reunited soon," Tailakh said, his voice trembling.

He also said: "Each night, I stay awake praying that tomorrow will be the day that I can hold them again, and our suffering will finally end."

Toshiba drag Western Digital to court over memory chips

According to report, Toshiba is suing Western Digital for 120bn yen ($1bn; £835m), accusing it of interfering in the attempted sale of its flash memory business.

But the Japanese giant is offloading the unit, which makes chips for smartphones and laptops, to cover huge losses in its US nuclear division.

It has so far failed to clinch a sale to its preferred buyer, a group of US, South Korean and Japanese investors.

Western Digital, a partner of Toshiba, objects to that proposed deal.

The US firm, which jointly runs Toshiba's main semiconductor plant, has been feuding bitterly with its Japanese partner, and has sought a US court injunction to prevent any deal that does not have its consent.

Toshiba is selling its memory chip unit to cover losses from its nuclear division.

However, the event which ended the disarmament process, President Juan Manuel Santos said the "peace was real and irreversible".

The president said, the former guerrillas will now work on forming a political party.

Meanwhile, the FARC leader, Mr Rodrigo Londoño, known as Timochenko said: "Farewell to war. Farewell to arms, welcome to peace!".

President Santos is now trying to strike a similar deal with the National Liberation Army (ELN), Colombia's second-largest left-wing rebel group.

The handover of 7,132 weapons was a key demand in the peace process signed last year, which marked the end of the Farc's 52-year conflict in which 260,000 people were killed.
